This past weekend I had the opportunity to attend the Made South Market here in Franklin, TN. It was the inaugural year for this fantastic event, and I’m so excited to go again next year! If you’re not familiar, Made South is a subscription service specializing in Southern gifts, food, products, and goods. Every few months they send out a box of handcrafted goods for you to try. For the market, Made South assembled some of their favorite artisans to share their products.
My family and I had a ton of fun, and I want to share as much of the experience as I can! I took a lot of photos, sampled way too much food, and purchased quite a few things. But, that was all so I could report back to you. Take note, because so many of these items will make for perfect holiday gifts to give to friends and family. I know most of my list this year will be fulfilled with gifts from Made South!
The first booth we came upon was Cotton & Pine. They have gorgeous letter-pressed posters and prints. We purchased their Tennessee Pride poster (photos coming soon showing how we have displayed it).
If you love candied nuts, then Molly & Me is the place for you! All of their recipes are delicious, but my favorite were the Praline and Cinnamon – Sugar. Also … everyone on my Christmas list is getting one of those bags ;-)
Gorgeous handcrafted dinnerware from McQueen Pottery. I will be buying these when we finally have a dining room again!
Stationary and prints from Louise and Earle
You better believe we bought some ginger ale syrup from Gents. It was so delicious! Handcrafted with all-natural ingredients, it’s made for enjoying with bourbon … my kind of drink ;-)
By this point I’m sure you’ve noticed my obsession with paper goods. Oak and Ink has some great stationary options for the modern gentleman.
Great Bear Wax Co – your one stop shop for candles as well as beard oil and mustache wax!
The folks at Ausden Inc had some gorgeous wood slab cutting boards and furniture. Beautiful craftsmanship, for an amazing finished product!
RedBeard Brand has such unique products! Beer soap is an incredibly fun stocking stuffer!
Lately, my husband has really been enjoying cold brew coffee. So, when we sample Due South’s brew, we knew we had to get some. I am the type who has to have cream and sugar in my coffee; but the Brazil Bob-O-Link that we tried was entirely delicious on its own! It’s a must-try for cold brew aficionados!
Oh boy, y’all. The candles from Everyday Eclectic were absolutely to die for. I mean – I’ve never before experienced a candle that actually smells like a campfire … until now! We ended up leaving empty handed because we literally could not choose which candles we wanted to buy. Pretty sure I’ll be buying one of each here in the next few days!
Who doesn’t love a good sip of fresh mountain water? Website and purchasing details coming soon, so for now, check out Revival Mountain on Instagram!
Big Spoon Creamery. Best. Ice Cream. Sandwiches. Ever. I’m pretty sure that’s all I need to say here!
There was so much more to enjoy at Made South, including music and food trucks. I’ve included a list below of items we purchased at the market and links so you can check them out. What are your favorite made-in-the-south items?
Eat Y’all – Sugar Taylor Sauce
Loyal Stricklin – Mugs
Piper and Leaf – Pumpkin Moonshine
