As I said before, these are a family favorite, and everyone from the little kids to the grownups love them! They’re the perfect mix of comfort food and refreshing summer snack.
Ingredients:
8 oz. Soft Cream Cheese
1/2 C. Mayonnaise
.7 oz Dried Italian Dressing
2 Cucumbers
1 French Baguette
2 Tbsp. Dried Dill
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. While that’s heating up, cut the baguette into 1/2″ slices. Place bread on a cookie sheet and bake for 5 minutes, or until toasted.
*You want these lightly toasted, not rock hard.
After your bread goes in the oven, peel and slice your cucumbers then set them aside. The peeling part is optional; I prefer to leave the skin on … you’ll just need to make sure you wash them first.
Mix the cream cheese, mayo, dressing, and dill together until as smooth as possible. Spread the mixture on your toasted bread and place one cucumber slice on top of each. Sprinkle with dill.
These are best served chilled to your friends and family. Oh, and you might want to double the recipe … these have a tendency to go quickly!
This sounds like the perfect little summer appetizer! Right up my alley :) Definitely trying it soon!
Enjoy! :-)
