My faithful Facebook & Twitter followers have already heard about this, but yesterday I had a very terrible paint experience! I’m calling it “The Great Paint Incident of 2013.” You can check out the photo here; but, it wasn’t good. Basically, I dumped half a tub of black metallic paint all over my almost-white carpet. Sad day. Because of this little mishap you should be expecting a great post about putting in new floors soon!
I’m glad I have something happy and full-of-life to share with you today! We don’t have any snow on the ground here, but it’s cold…and I’m over it. Spring can not come fast enough for me. I think it’s my Florida roots coming out. I feel we’ve been pretty lucky with the Winters since we’ve moved here. There have been some bad ones but they were intense and short – and last year was amazingly warm. This year has been neither short, nor warm. That’s why I have decided to bring Spring into my house!

That is adorable! I love this. Very crafty. I could definitely use something like this in my house. I don’t particularly like the lemon scent. Is it strong? Maybe I could use fake lemons??
Sam says
I was going to use real lemons, but was afraid they would go bad. I found a bunch of them at Michael’s in the fake fruit section and just used that. I like it much better and they’re a lot lighter than real lemons which makes them easier to attach.

This is such a gorgeous idea. I am so ready for spring and one of these on the front door would give me something other than snow to look at!
