Some of you have already heard about the big announcement around here: we’re expecting Baby #2! At 14 weeks along, it’s still too early to find out if we’re having a girl or a boy {though little man just keeps telling me it’s a puppy}. But, I’m DYING to know…it’s killing me…I just want to get started with the shopping, decorating, and other baby-prep things! Not to mention, I’m a little nervous that I’m going to feel horrible during the 3rd trimester and won’t be able to get anything done – which leaves me with basically no time to prepare the house for this new bundle of joy!
So, I’ve done about the only thing I can right now other than organizing random things around the house. I’ve decided what the room will be if it’s a boy and what we’ll do if it’s a girl – and I’ve made mood boards for each. You might think I’m a bit crazy, but it makes me feel so much better knowing I have a plan in place, so I can spring to action as soon as we find out what we’re having!
Today, I want to share with you my little girl mood board. The main colors are going to be mint and yellow, with a bit of sunny, sea-side inspiration. Since my little man has a nautical theme going on in his room, I thought it would be cute to put a girly spin on that traditional navy/red look. This way their rooms will sort of “work together” without being exactly the same.
