Mom's Test Meal Mondays #7

Welcome to week #7 of Mom's Test Meal Mondays!!!  I'm so happy to end my weekends partying with all of your fabulous ladies!!

This week we are testing out Pork Recipes!  Pork chops, Pork Tenderloin, Bacon, Hot dogs, whatever you've got!  Growing up, my mom would make green beans with bacon & onions.  Those green beans were the only cooked veggies I would eat as a kid.  Everything really is better with bacon huh?!?

Before we get to the party, let me first introduce you to my very awesome co-host this week ~ Brittany from Confessions of a PinAholic!  I actually first got the chance to get to know Brittany when I sponsored Kitchen Week over at Bear Rabbit Bear Crafts.  Brittany was the winner of the week's giveaway and I got to send her some really cute kitchen goodies!  Today she is sharing a wonderful breakfast recipe with us that I know y'all are going to love!

Hi, I'm Brittany and I blog over at Confessions of a PinAholic.   I write about my adventures in Pinning, DIY, recipes, my new home and life in general.  I'm so happy to be co-hosting with Jaime for Mom's Test Meal Mondays. Sausage pancakes are one of my go-to quick-fix meals. Hope you enjoy it!

I love pancakes, but I'm not too fond of sausage.  However, I found these pre-made, fully cooked sausage patties in the frozen food section that I'm kinda diggin' right now.  They only take a few minutes to cook, and they actually taste pretty good.  I was cooking some pancakes and sausage on the griddle the other morning, and I remembered seeing the sausage and pancakes on a stick and thought I'd give it a try sans the stick.

So here's what you'll need to gather.

Ingredients:

Pancake Mix + water/milk or whatever your pancake mix calls for
Sausage Patties
Butter (Optional)
Syrup (Optional)

I'm all about simple, quick, and easy.  Therefore I used the pre-made, fully cooked sausage patties and Hungry Jack Complete Buttermilk Pancake mix.  {It's my favorite "just add water" pancake mix.}  You can certainly make homemade pancake batter and get the sausage in the refrigerated section.

Step 1:  Start cooking your sausage.  I found that doing this on a griddle is easier than in a regular pan.

Step 2.  While the sausage is cooking, mix up your pancake batter.  {I mixed mine a little thinner than I usually do.}

Step 3:  When the sausage is done browning on both sides, pour your pancake mix on the griddle.

Step 4:  Let cook for a few seconds, then place your sausage patty into the center of the pancake.

Step 5:  Let the pancake finish cooking on that side then flip.

I made a mess.  My spatula for some reason was sticking to the pancake.
Step 6:  Finish cooking and plate.  Add butter and syrup if you want.  Then Enjoy!

Was I right?  You love those pancakes huh?  Seriously thinking about stepping away from the computer and going to the kitchen to make you some??

No, just me??

Well then, while I gets to making me some pancakes, y'all gets to linking up your recipes!!!
