Red Velvet Protein Shake

December 7, 2012 By Sam 5 Comments

Here’s What You’ll Need (Amazon affiliate links included):

1 Serving Vanilla/Cake Batter Protein Powder {I like this one}
3-5 tsp. Chocolate Powder
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract {recipe here}
1 Cup Low-Fat Milk
1 oz. Less-Fat Cream Cheese*
3+ Drops of Red Coloring
Ice to Desired Texture

**and don’t forget your Magic Bullet or Vitamix**

Blend everything together and enjoy!

*I have yet to try it, but if you want the cream cheese flavor without the calories, I would use some cream cheese flavored pudding powder instead.
EDIT: I have tried the cheesecake jello pudding powder in my shake, and it’s amazing! Just use approximately 2 tsp. of the powder in place of the cream cheese. This puts the calorie count for the shake at under 300!

    That sounds absolutely perfect! I LOVE red velvet anything, so I may just have to try this. I never thought to add cream cheese to a smoothie, but it sounds decadent. Stopping by from Mealtime Mondays. I have a Meatless Monday hop this week if you’d like to share this there too: http://jessica-healthymommyhealthybaby.blogspot.com/2012/12/meatless-monday-christmas-cookies.html. Have a great day!
