Sopapilla Cheesecake

I might be a little late for Cinco de Mayo, but this dessert is sure to be a hit any time! My favorite part is that you can have the taste of cheesecake without the hassle and wait that you would normally have with a traditional cheesecake.

What You’ll Need:

2 cans Crescent Rolls {I used the butter kind}
16 oz. {softened} Cream Cheese
1 C. Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/4 C. {melted} Butter
Cinnamon/Sugar Mixture {you can make your own with approximately 1/4 C. sugar & 1 Tbsp. cinnamon}

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Roll out one can of crescent rolls into a 9×13″ pan. Make sure to press the seams together so there are no gaps.

Mix together cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until you reach a creamy consistency. Spread the mixture over your crescent roll crust.

Unroll the remaining crescent rolls and press the seams together. Place the crescent sheet over top of the cream cheese mixture.

Pour your melted butter over top of the crescent rolls and coat with your cinnamon sugar.

Bake for 20 – 30 minutes.

Good luck keeping this for more than a few hours! I made this for a get-together a few weeks ago, and it was gone before the evening was over!

A Limoncello Accent Wall

Recently, I decided to re-paint our family room. It used to be a light beige with red undertones…a nice color, but it didn’t go with the overall feel of the home that I was going for. So, I painted over the beige with a medium gray color. I love it, but there was one problem. The red accent wall in my dining nook (which is right next to the family room) was no longer adding a “pop” of color. The undertones in the gray and red were too similar and the red was just looking “blah” to me. After living with the colors for a few days, I knew something had to change.

Seeing as yellow is one of my current color obsessions, I started searching for the perfect yellow paint color. After quite some time comparing yellows to the gray in our family room and a few of the accent colors and fabrics I want to bring into the spaces, I found the perfect yellow!

It’s call Limoncello. Mmm…it just sounds yummy doesn’t it? Limoncello is an Allen + Roth color for Lowes. I am amazed at how well Limoncello matches my gray family room, yet provides the perfect pop of color to the whole back of the house. And while the yellow may seem out of place, it really ties everything in perfectly. I am working on bringing yellow into our family room with fabrics and a few accent pieces, and there is some yellow in my kitchen {brought in through the “When Life Gives You Lemons” sign above my pantry doors.

I think you’ll agree that Limoncello brings incredible life to this space!
